Manchester City is a English Premier League Club. This English side was originally founded as St.Mark's in 1880. Later in 1887 the name was changed as Ardwick Association Football Club and in 1894 renamed as Manchester City. Their home ground was at Maine Road from 1923 and in 2003 they moved to The City of Manchester Stadium, which is now named as the Etihad Stadium.


City were a mid-table finishers in the premier league era, but after the acquisition of Sheik Mansoor in 2008. The Abu Dhabi based business man spent millions to build the current squad and in 2012 Manchester City won the league title after 43 years.

Italian Roberto Mancini is the current manager of this club. Beligian international Vicent Company is the captain of this new premier league champions.
