Kenya international Victor Wanyama is
set to undergo a medical at Southampton today ahead of a club-record move.
The Celtic ace’s £12.5million move looked dead after his agent Rob
Moore asked for a £1m golden handshake.
But Saints chairman Nicola Cortese refused to cough up and Moore
backed down when a switch to Cardiff also fell through.
The 22 year-old will be boss Mauricio Pochettino’s second summer
signing after Croat defender Dejan Lovren’s £8.5m move from Lyon.
Wanyama had interests from big English sides Manchester United,
Arsenal and he became famous after Celtics win over Barcelona in the Champions
league last campaign.
