Kone Joins Roberto Martinez’s Everton

The Ivory Coast forward enjoyed an impressive first spell in Premier league scoring 13 goals following his £3.5m switch from Spanish outfit Levante.

He helped Wigan to lift the FA Cup, but was unable to prevent the Latics' slide to relegation from the Premier League.

Liverpool and Norwich were also interested in the 29 year-old, but Everton have won the race for his signature.

Kone said recently: “You always have ambitions as a footballer, and I don’t intend to play in the English second division.”

Kone re-united with his former boss Roberto Martinez, who brought him to EPL in 2012/13 season.
